Using non-Pokemonese language, would the top half, "i might look 'normal'", be "i might look weak/I might not look so fearsome"?

It's just a play on the "normal" type. There are different types like fire, ground, electric, bug, etc. Normal is just the type for Pokemon who don't really have any other skills that put them in any of the other categories.
